Job Description

Responsibilities

  • The project manager in projects (QMiP) be a partner of the project manager for QA system implementation in projects in accordance with the Quality Management Plan.
  • Develop and maintain quality control documentation as per specified in contracts including inspections and standard operating procedures.
  • Establish project quality gates and Key Performance Indicators to monitor and improve project management process and overall execution efficiency.
  • Collaborate with project manager, engineering teams to identify and resolve quality-related issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on project cost and schedules.
  • Conduct root cause analysis investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions to address non-conformities and prevent recurrence
  • Plan and conduct project reviews, participate in status meetings, and ensure the implementation of improvement and risk measures.
  • Support audits effecting the project and ensure implementation of audit corrective measure.
  • Conduct lessons learned meetings, best practices and share information with Sales and Marketing, Bid team, supply chain management, EHS and other functions related to projects.
  • Identification of project risks at an early stage and ensure a higher degree of customer satisfaction
  • Foster a culture of quality consciousness, accountability, and a commitment to continuous improvement throughout the project management team and organisation.
  • Act as a sole QA personnel on ground, issue non-compliances and perform CAPA in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations such as ISO 9001, customer specifications and industry quality standards.
  • Involve in all project specific decisions and in escalation process in case of failure to meet customer requirements/project goals.
  • Intervene and escalate to respective quality organization in cases of functional issues where guidelines, quality relevant procedures or targets are not complied with.
  • Stop processes, supplies and services through defined escalation procedures if he /she expects severe damage to the project results
  • Support systematic project closure.

Qualification

·       Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with QMS ISO 9001 :2015 lead auditor certification.

Experience

  • 10+ years as quality manager in EPC/Service projects of Power Sector.
  • Detailed knowledge of documentation (SOP/Process, Quality Manual, Quality Policy, risk assessment) and Quality Report handling procedures.
  • Familiarized with the interfaces between Sales & Marketing, Purchasing, Engineering, Design, Production, Installation, Commissioning and Service
  • Supply Management, contract and claim management
  • Strong Analytical and Strategic thinker
  • Experience in leading and managing a team, with excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels, including external auditors, consultants and customers
  • Must be self-motivated, results oriented, effectively managing multiple tasks and be flexible to work well under tight schedules in a fast-paced team
