Job Description
The finance team is seeking a high caliber Business Intelligence professional to support our Brands Finance organization working on business-critical BI solutions. This role will leverage your BI, analytics and communication skills to work directly with our finance and loyalty teams to support with data, automation, forecasting and reporting enabling the organization to make informed, data-driven decisions.
What You’ll Do
- Consistently responds to stakeholder requests in an accurate, timely and professional manner
- Understands (internal and external) customers’ needs and begins to develop the skills necessary to help customers understand business challenges
- Continues building understanding the organization's processes, objectives and challenges and their impact on the business
- Acts as the information liaison to the business, the first point of contact for data and reporting issues
- Analyzes data to derive business insights Develops deeper understanding of data analysis methods and procedures by assisting others in the collection and analysis of data and conducting routine analyses
- Runs autonomous data analysis on request when given instructions and requirements and provides basic findings, support by others if needed
- Demonstrates solid understanding of key terminology and key performance indicators in the industry
- Researches industry information and summarizes findings
- Recognizes different industry products and services and understands how they are applied
- Utilizes understanding of collecting data to support data collection and analysis processes
- Understands key performance indicators related to own work and the importance of metrics in defining success (e.g., efficiency and effectiveness)
- Identifies areas where efficiency and process improvement are needed within own work area
- Applies new ideas or approaches to own work to enhance outputs
- Leverages the right analytical tools and techniques to track progress related to implementing process improvements
- Conducts tests and inspections of products, services, solutions or processes to evaluate quality or performance
- Monitors and inspects data to evaluate quality and is supported when needed to take an action
- Reviews overarching project timeline and develops a schedule of tasks to achieve project milestones
- Works with more experienced team members to identify resources required to support a project
- Keeps relevant stakeholders informed of progress toward or changes to task timing that impacts the project schedule
- Helps coordinate stakeholder input and collaboration efforts when developing solutions to issues
- Learns to think broadly and understand how, why and when policies/processes are standardized and when they differ across the organization
- Executes tasks and/or provides data to support implementation of holistic solutions that forge linkages between structure, people, process and technology
- Implement solutions that communicate performance metrics, illustrate key trends, and enable complex IT analytics
- Seeks relevant information to ensure own understanding of complex information
- Assists team members in the creation of routine technical communication materials (e.g., policies & procedures, guidelines, presentations, messages)
- Develops an understanding of the different audience groups in the business unit/function that receive technical communications and how they differ from each other
- Knows and applies data visualization principles consistently resulting in clear and consistent outcomes
- Builds complex charts with limited supervision
- Consistently uses color palettes effectively and is aware of double encoding and end user fatigue
- Creates clear and consistent visualizations with experienced use of typography
Who You Are
- An established performer who consistently applies the business intelligence capabilities, principles and playbooks to solve business issues and opportunities
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field; or equivalent related professional experience
- 2+ years for Bachelor's or 0-2 years for Master's
- Functional/Technical Skills: Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, Tableau, Problem Solving, Critical Thinking, Business Acumen
- Is familiar with UX and UI concepts, such as padding, framing, chart placement, white space balance and hierarchy of elements
- Knows visualization tools well and can create complex calculations using advanced features
The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $82,500.00 to $115,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $132,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
