Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and maintain effective sales strategy for ABB Robotics General and Consumer Industries Business Line in India to improve ABB market penetration and realize growth aspirations in the assigned scope. Each day, you will define, plan, lead, and ensure the execution of sales strategy to achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets for products, systems, and/or services to ensure sustainable order growth, revenue, profitability, market share, sales productivity, and customer satisfaction. You will also Monitor proactively sales performance, ensuring development and implementation of correction ac-tions to secure business growth when and where needed. Proactively lead, develop and coach the sales organization (other sales managers and sales specialists within scope) to exceed the sales targets through high performance.The work model for the role is: #Li_hybridThis role is contributing to the Robotics & Discrete Automation in Bangalore, Pune, Chennai, India. Main stakeholders are {insert main stakeholder groups if available}.You will be mainly accountable for:•Creates, plans and implements sales strategy and strategic business development initiatives for the General and Consumer Industries Business Line in India.•Defines key sales targets and establishes appropriate metrics and measurement tools to monitor performance.•Proactively anticipates and identifies shortfalls in performance and takes appropriate remedial action. Drives top line growth.•Identifying and evaluating new opportunities with existing and potential customers, determines plans for implementation, and allocates required resources.•Planning and executing customer surveys and acts on the survey results to ensure high level of customer satisfaction•Participating in the negotiation of key contracts.

Qualifications for the role

  • Ability to demonstrate your experience in in the field of Robotics/ Automation industry, preferably in a large organization set up with 10+ years of proven successful sales.
  • Possess an enhanced knowledge of of robots and its applications in varied industries.
  • You are captivated by strong leadership skills with previous experience of managing high-performance teams. High level of flexibility to travel to meet customers, partners and team.
  • B.E. in Electrical and Electronics/ Electrical /Mechatronics /Instrumentation. You must have excellent communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills for a global organization
  • You will believe and stay committed to ABB Code of Conduct.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously along with to ability to articulate and communicate in English language
