We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated EMEA Product Marketing Manager to lead product development and marketing efforts for Airbnb in diverse global markets. You will play a pivotal role in understanding the needs, pain points, and desires of users across different cultural contexts, and translate those insights into innovative product features and marketing strategies. As an integral member of our team, you will drive the development and execution of strategic initiatives tailored to various international regions, ensuring alignment between product development and marketing efforts. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the regional travel industry, cultural nuances, and consumer behavior, with a proven track record of driving product innovation.
A Typical Day:
User-Centric Market Analysis:
- Work with Global PMM and research teams to understand comprehensive market research to gain insights into the unique needs, preferences, and behaviors of users in targeted EMEA regions.
- Be able to synthesize and support a point of view from multiple sources (customers, research, industry trends, etc.)
Product Development and Innovation:
- Collaborate closely with Global PMM to incorporate features into the global roadmap, balancing user needs, technical feasibility, and business objectives.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including country managers, research, data science, and business operations to translate user insights into actionable product enhancements and feature prioritization.
- Possess a good understanding of regional business and supply trends and opportunities to help shape our strategies across stays, experiences, and more.
Outbound Engagement:
- Collaborate closely with Comms to craft and distribute compelling narratives that highlight the unique region-specific features and benefits of Airbnb’s offerings.
- Develop and deliver engaging product demos to press, showcasing key features and functionalities.
Strategic Launch Planning:
- Develop and execute robust plans for Airbnb product launches in international markets, grounded in deep user insights and market understanding.
- Coordinate with marketing teams to ensure alignment and seamless execution of product launches and marketing campaigns, leveraging product features to drive user engagement and adoption.
Empathetic and Curious Approach:
- Demonstrate empathy towards Airbnb users' needs and challenges, leveraging insights to drive product innovation and development.
- Foster a culture of curiosity and user-centricity across Airbnb, encouraging continuous exploration and learning about the evolving needs and behaviors of international users.
Your Expertise:
- 8 -10+ years of product management experience
- Experience creating product messaging and delivering to customers and the media
- Demonstrated subject matter expertise
- Be able to build compelling customer-focused stories and work with marketing and communications partners to bring them to life.
- Excited to work on a foundational service that supports a wide range of Airbnb features with the goal of bringing the best possible experience to all the guests and Hosts on our platform
- Demonstrated track record of product leadership in a cross functional environment.
- A strong ability to effectively use data and perform business analysis to support product strategy/decisions
- Excited to drive execution across teams in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel and experience new cultures
