Job Description

You Will Report Directly To The Senior Director Of Product Management Who Leads The Wearables Business, And Work Closely With The Following

  • Marketing, product management teams and senior leadership across Qualcomm
  • Sales and regional marketing to cultivate pipeline and win designs
  • Engineering and customer engineering and support teams to take designs through the design-in and launch phases
  • Marketing to launch and ramp products
  • Finance to manage the business from a P&L perspective, operation
  • Supply chain to manage operation and demand



You will drive all aspects of the Wearables business; in particular:

  • Acting as a business lead for the segment, working with our sales team to win new business and ensure each account continues to deliver revenue and margin growth for Qualcomm
  • Managing the strategic relationship with Google for developing the overall business partnership, driving the roadmap and priority alignment, new business initiatives and the ecosystem growth
  • Responsible for cultivating new segments (AOSP, WearOS, RTOS) and growth strategy
  • Managing the business unit operations, measuring and analyzing revenue stream and design pipeline to optimize revenue strategy
  • Monitoring performance of the business with tracking revenue and take corrective measures when necessary, and prepare detailed updates for leadership review and forecasts alignment
  • Analyzing markets, key accounts and competitors trends and status and provide meaningful insights and proper recommendations to product and leadership
  • Driving and expanding the Wearables Ecosystem Accelerator Program, which provides support for ISV and IHV, ODM, SI integrating their IP with our products to provide a richer and complete E2E offering
  • Collaborating with product management to put a competitive and compelling roadmap is in place
  • Cultivating customer relationships, understanding of their business and requirements
  • Pulling together customer collateral based on inputs from the broader teams
  • Working with the product lead to ensure the Business has a clear marketing strategy that:
    • Provides a credible route to revenue and margin growth
    • Is backed by clear financial modelling and business case
    • Is supported by the product roadmap
    • Fits with the wider strategic plan for VMSS and Qualcomm overall.




Skills And Experience We Would Love To See

  • A proven track record of driving a marketing team to deliver sustained revenue and margin growth
  • Proven ability to develop business with large multinationals (e.g. Samsung)
  • A proven track record of developing, growing and supporting ecosystems
  • Experience working within large matrixed organizations being comfortable achieving results via influence rather than direct line control
  • Passionate about wearables, gadgets, smart speakers, smart assistants…
  • Able to balance product, technology, and business aspects of leading a segment
  • Able to balance strategic and tactical aspects of the job
  • Understands critical aspects of the role – Android, Linux, Audio, modem, business models, wearables,…
  • Highly collaborative, works well with the team

Qualification

Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of Product Marketing, Marketing, Business, Engineering, Communications, or related work experience.
