This position is eligible for a flexible work schedule arrangement at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.

Your Responsibilities

As aProduct Marketing ManagerforIntelligent Solutions Group, located inUrbandale, IAyour purpose is to validate products against customer needs, co-create robust go-to-market plans, and drive product adoption and utilization. You will do this by understanding customers and market opportunities, strategizing robust go-to-market plans in collaboration with tactical marketing, position how the world thinks about your product, and inspire others to tell the story, at the production system and step levels. Successful Product Marketing Manager’s deeply engage with Tactical Marketing and communications team to understand dealer capabilities, limitations, and opportunities to support them with the right material and enablement to drive success in the market. This role is critical on leading the Production Step Campaigns and collaborating with other Product Marketing Manager in Precision Ag and Product Families to define the goals and messaging, also leading special projects as that require a different timeline than the regular bi-monthly cadence of Digital Software Releases.

  • Good collaboration, communication, and influence without authority
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Strong understanding of how to validate products against customer needs
  • Experience in product positioning
  • Ability and experience in creating robust go-to-market plans
  • Passionate about driving product adoption and utilization
  • Knowledge of dealers and other channels
  • Willing and able to travel up to 10%

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Experience in thinking through and executing through the marketing process (ECAP), but also innovating with creativity to generate unique marketing deliverables
  • Knowledge about John Deeres’s Precision Ag technologies
  • Experience in product marketing for technology products
  • Experience in field positions/ or agriculture production related roles

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Marketing discipline, Agriculture related major (Ag Engineering, Agronomy, Ag Economics), or Business/Management discipline
