Job Description
Key Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Manage/maintain data in multiple reporting and analytics systems, including product and portfolio reporting, data and systems maintenance and governance
- Able to effectively manage direct interface and communications with stakeholders
- Works with team members to ensure monthly/quarterly/annual publication of reports
- Supports other PS&A team members in completing deliverables for their internal customer groups
- Helps other team members operate more efficiently by attending to incremental work or lower complexity assignments
- Identify and recommend new or enhanced data or reporting applications, other tools or infrastructure components that can bring significant value to multiple team members
- Identifies and communicates opportunities to improve own work and outcomes. Listens intently and actively to ensure understanding. Effectively clarifies and summarizes to ensure shared understanding and agreement. Actively seeks feedback and uses to improve
- Willingness to learn, understand and own Gilead data/data structure and how it correlates to the Gilead portfolio and drug development. Participate in broader data quality and governance activities or monitor these working / steering groups to learn more
Required Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have a minimum GPA of 2.8
- Authorized to work in the United States without Sponsorship now or in the future or CPT/OPT through your University.
- Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s/Masters/MBA/PhD program at an accredited US based university or college
- Must be a Rising Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in undergrad or a Graduate or Doctoral Student
- Must be enrolled full-time in the Fall Semester at an accredited university/college after the completion of the internship
- Must be able to complete a 10-12 consecutive week internship between May and August
Preferred Qualifications:
- Preferred Degree qualification: Graduate/MBA/PhD
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite
- Ability to identify issues and seek solutions
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusion and diversity in the workplace
- Efficient, organized, and able to handle short timelines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience developing and maintaining systems, reporting templates and other tools is strongly preferred
- Has some working knowledge of business systems functionalities, reporting tools and data governance
- Understanding of business financials and other key metrics
- Demonstrates aptitude to learn Gilead’s business and the biopharma industry
