Responsibilities
- Design and deliver software services that scale, secure, monitor, and auto manage specialized workloads on Azure
- Develop a deep understanding of customer requirements for mission critical workloads and build seamless experiences to deploy them in Azure.
- Produce scalable and maintainable components with a keen eye on efficiency and return on investment, which exceed performance benchmarks while optimizing resources.
- Tackle hard distributed system problems while making changes to fundamental Azure control and data plane components, networking, and operating systems.
- Stay abreast of emerging computing technologies, tools, and trends, evaluating their potential application in enhancing our infrastructure and services.
- Take the helm in ensuring seamless service operations by addressing real-time challenges as they emerge, empowering you to directly enhance service reliability and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with other engineers, teams, partners and PMs to deliver mission critical workloads in a fast-paced environment, while ensuring value-to-customers and live-site excellence.
- Lead, mentor, and guide engineers in the team, bringing clarity, creating energy, and driving results.
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of professional experience in designing, developing, and shipping software.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Hands on experience with distributed systems and services in the cloud.
- Experience/knowledge of cloud computing, enterprise computing, IaaS and/or SaaS products.
- Proven ability to solve complex technical issues for running online services.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with .NET based systems, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, and/or Message Passing Interface (MPI) are a plus.
- Experience with public cloud services including Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Strong coding, debugging, testing, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of systems software.
