Job Description

Primary Function of Position:

Assist the Fiber Optic Shape Sensing Data Team with data engineering, log analysis, data dashboard construction, and other data related projects.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Strong oral and written communication
• Create scripts and analysis in Python
• Create and maintain data pipelines from manufacturing fixtures to scalable databases
• Assist with field log analysis and root cause investigations using data

Qualifications

University Hiring Program Eligibility Requirements:

• University Enrollment: Must be currently enrolled in and returning to an accredited degree-seeking academic program in the Fall.
• Internship Work Period: Must be available to work part-time (approximately 10 hours per week) during a 10-12 week period starting August. Specific start dates are shared during the recruiting process.

Skills, Experience, Education, & Training:

• Current enrollment in a Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Physics, or related degree-seeking program at the Bachelor’s level or above.
• Experience with Python Programming language
• Experience parsing text or binary files for ingestion into computer processing
• Experience with SQL
