How You’ll Make An Impact
Sales & Targets:
- Achieve annual order entry targets by winning opportunities in line with the SE GP SV CD product and services portfolio.
- To be responsible for the whole sales process, from opportunity identification through to contract signature and handover to the delivery group, for the entire SE GP SV CD portfolio of products and solutions.
- To work with the Operations team to develop business execution strategies prior to proposal submission in order that staff levels may be planned for successful delivery.
- To match SE GP SV CD portfolio with Customer needs, taking into account their markets, objectives and strategies.
- To generate and evaluate sales leads and new business opportunities.
- To evaluate the market prices and competition for opportunities.
- To negotiate customer contracts successfully thereby maximising both order entry and profit.
- To define and own the negotiation strategy for all opportunities within the designated Sales Accounts
- To promote strategies that develop new order opportunities in a way which maximises order value and profit.
- To provide a range of management reports including Order Intake, Gross Margin, Win/Loss etc for Sales Accounts.
Customer:
- To represent the company in all pre-contract dealings with designated Sales Accounts
- To manage the overall interface between SE GP SV CD and the assigned customers at all levels both at customer’s sites and headquarters, developing relationships (at all levels).
- To work closely with SE GP SV CD HQ colleagues to produce composite offers.
- To be responsible for Customer Relationship management of Sales Accounts using SalesForce.com and Station Planning.
- To empathise with Customer viewpoint and identify key drivers that add customer value.
Process & Compliance:
- To align with Siemens Energy Business Conduct Guidelines.
- To ensure all company Offers and Contract agreements are approved in accordance with Authorisation protocol and Limits of Authority.
- To lead the Authorisation process from (& including) initial Go /No Go through Bid / No Bid, price approval and offer stage including any required authorisation updates.
- Participation in Authorisation meetings when required to present detailed information regarding opportunities. Full and timely utilisation of business compliance tools.
- Business Development:
- Regularly visits all customers to identify sales opportunities.
- Regularly connect with other Siemens Energy businesses & HQ to keep up to date with developments and potential upgrades.
- Work closely with the Projects and Execution teams to maximise opportunities on existing contracts.
What You Bring
- Commercial – extensive experience in general contracting environment (Capital Goods, preferably Engineering).
- Engineering – proven experience in a commercial environment preferably power generation sector
- Sales – proven ability in a Capital Goods Sales environment, ideally within the Energy / Power Market.
