About Us:

Adobe Lightroom is for people who love photography. It offers powerful tools that a photographer needs to edit, organise, store and share photos across desktops, mobile and web. The Adobe Digital Imaging (DI) team that builds this cutting edge imaging service is looking for a hardworking and highly motivated engineer and technical thinker to help build a scalable and responsive mobile application on Android, that brings powerful image editing and organising tools in the hands of photographers.

What you'll do:

  • As a Sr Computer Scientist for the Adobe Lightroom Android product, you will work with a team of passionate developers. You and your team will add features in products which are strategic to Adobe's growth.
  • Collaborating with Product Manager , UI/UX designers, Frontend Architects, and Product Managers in defining roadmap, and scope work for releases.
  • Design, architect and code on key features and o wn your features end-to-end starting from gathering requirements, design, implementation and instrumenting unit and automation test cases.
  • Constantly strive towards making the application responsive by optimising memory and processing footprint.
  • Mentor and guide high performing engineer s

What we're looking for:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in software development
  • Experience building highly scalable and performance focussed Android applications
  • Strong Java/ Kotlin/ C++ programming skills along with one of the scripting languages like Python/Perl
  • Experience in and Reactive Programming
  • Exposure to SQLite Database , would be good to have.
  • Has good/practical understanding of architectural patterns
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to collaborate across teams and build consensus
  • Practice with product development and release methodologies such as Agile, Lean, Scrum
