Job Description

Our department is responsible for Vattenfall IT Internal Systems (VITIS / formerly IT4IT). Tools and solutions used by IT in providing the services towards Business. We have a complex, multi-project ecosystem where all requirements need to be taken into account for a holistic, stable and compliant solution delivery. Additionally, the applications need to be managed keeping various stakeholder demands in mind.

That is why we are now looking to hire a System Manager to work in the area of Vattenfall IT Internal Systems.

What will you do?

You will be a key stakeholder towards system owner and business counterparts for the delivery of the SLA.

Additionaly, you will be responsible for...

  • ensuring that VITIS solutions / tools fulfil targets defined in the SLA for all services provided by Vattenfall IT and to continuously improve the service deliveries.
  • escalations in critical cases for e.g., incidents and requests
  • ensuring compliance to the relevant controls that apply to the system
  • IT Audits: System manager should lead and participate in meetings with internal and external auditors to verify that controls are complied to
  • creating and maintaining the Service Improvement Plan for assigned SLAs or logical group of SLAs in agreement with IT Demand organization (VITIS BIO, system owners, SPOCs)
  • ensuring that the application is enhanced and optimized according to customer requirements, including upgrades, support packs and patching
  • collecting and identifing improvement suggestions and communicates these to the appropriate contact (e.g., IT Demand, IT Supply, Architecture).
  • the annual run cost budget (planning, monthly follow up and pursuing transparency & reduction)
  • ensuring ITIL-conformity according to the harmonized ITIL processes of VIT for all applicable processes, documenting any deviation and acquiring a waiver for any non-compliance
  • managing operational performance of suppliers in case of external out-tasking or managed service
  • ensuring the delivery of platform-specific services (in close cooperation with TSC): middleware, database, operating system and storage
  • Application Management including the hand-over procedure from projects to operations and maintenance

Qualifications

Who are you?

As our System Manager you will bring working experience with IT4IT domain: IT service management, Service Desk, DevOps, Testing, Monitoring, automation. Applications like: BMC Remedy, Atlassian, SNOW, portfolio management tools like CAT4 – and knowledge how to integrate these tools.

Next to this you bring:

  • ideally technical background or ability to understand technical topics where you quickly grasp a complex issue and communicate it correctly and clearly to stakeholders, and are subsequently not afraid to explain the solution proposal to the technical teams.
  • knowledge and experience of ITIL framework and its implementation, as well as Open Group IT4IT Reference Architecture is advantageous
  • fluency in English, any other Vattenfall language (Swedish, Dutch, German, Polish) is a plus.
  • being detail oriented yet able to comprehend and create a big picture for the organizational needs.
  • ability to manage multiple priorities at once.
