What will you do?

As the Lead Full Stack Engineer, you will play a key role in our immediate and long-term strategic technical delivery direction for a multi-disciplined team of technologists. Nurturing culture and facilitating learning and knowledge sharing will be second nature to you as well as applying your technical know-how to ensure that the team is on the leading edge of technical delivery practices. You’ll have the tools and support needed to achieve extraordinary results that render a significant impact extending beyond the boundaries of traditional technology roles.   • Design & execution of hybrid and multi-cloud application deployments of AI/ML-driven applications and data services that enable our trusted data and AI mission
  • Develop methodologies & frameworks for systematically validating the performance, security, and trustworthiness of deployed ML models
  • Apply design thinking and an agile mindset in working with other engineers, data scientists and business stakeholders to continuously experiment, iterate and deliver on new initiatives
  • Actively engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and ideate software solutions and support creation of scalable software
  • Write clean, functional code for large-scale distributed applications
  • Test software (unit, system, integration and acceptance testing) to ensure responsiveness and efficiency and where required troubleshoot, provide solutions to fix / debug and upgrade software
  • Partner with and support other teams as required; there are many teams, yet we are one team.
  • Leverage best practices in continuous integration and delivery, with a strong commitment to quality
  • Explore new capabilities and technologies to drive innovation

Must-have

  • Experience (6+ years) working software delivery teams in mid to large software/IT organizations developing scalable, highly available and performant applications and microservices, participating in design sessions and code reviews with skills in the following areas:
    • Data Engineering & API Development: expertise in at least one major programming language (Java, Python, Scala etc.) and messaging technology (e.g., Kafka etc.)
    • Security frameworks: Kerberos, OAuth 2.0, Vault integration
    • Cloud and Containers: AWS, OpenShift, Docker, Pivotal Cloud Foundry
    • SQL/Data Stores: PostgreSQL, S3, HDFS, Elasticsearch, Redis etc.
    • DevOps: Git, Jira, Jenkins, Confluence etc.
  • A passion for simplifying and automating work, making things better, continuous learning, solving open-ended problems, improving efficiency and helping others
  • Strong communication skills with ability to work cross-functionally to articulate, measure and solve issues
  • Great attention to detail, organizational skills and an analytical mind

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with Airflow, graph databases, Jupyter Notebooks, other ML-related technologies
  • IAPP CIPT Certified
