Job Description
Core Job Responsibilities:
- Construct and develop predictive/analytical models or Gen AI applications that are reliable and scalable.
- Maintain and optimize existing machine learning models.
- Aid in the implementation of machine learning models into production environments.
- Utilize new tools and techniques to increase performance, automation, and scalability.
- Report, visualize, and communicate findings to internal stakeholders regularly.
- Engage in a "test and learn" team environment with a focus on continuous improvement and action.
- Participate in the Data Science Community of Practice to foster continuous growth in knowledge and enhance collaborative skills.
- Work with stakeholders to understand business questions and define requirements.
- Examine relevant data to develop an analytics plan that answers key business questions.
- Handle datasets of varied sizes and complexity, including structured and unstructured data.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Engineering, Operational Research, Computer Science, or Mathematics. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- 1-3 years of business experience in data analysis, data engineering, and predictive/simulation modeling, or strong academic performance in related fields.
- Biopharmaceutical or healthcare experience a plus.
- Experience in developing ML/AI models for real world business applications.
- Experience with cloud big data environments such as AWS, GCP or MS Azure
- Familiarity with visual workflow development analytics tools such as Dataiku or Alteryx
- Understanding of algorithmic design and experience with analytical experimentation.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL a must and experience with relevant BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) a plus.
- Familiarity with data manipulation and analysis libraries to support quick iteration and experimentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and an eagerness to work collaboratively as part of a diverse team.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A team-oriented attitude with a keen interest in personal and professional development.
