Job Description
- Preparation and Participation in PI Planning : Heavily involved in program backlog refinement and prep for PI planning. Participates in the PI planning event itself. Works with product management on the program vision, roadmap, and content presentations. During the PI Planning event, the Associate BSA is involved with story definition, providing the requirements and clarifications necessary to assist the team with their story estimates and sequencing. As a member of the team, the Associate BSA drafts SMART objectives for the upcoming program increment. And is responsible for updating the team backlog based on discussions.
- : Primary responsibility is to work with Architects and other stakeholders for building, grooming, and maintaining the team backlog that consists of user stories, defects, and enablers. Responsible for ensuring the backlog items are prioritized based on user value, impact, and team dependencies determined in the PI planning meeting and refined during the PI.
- responsibility to ensure that they are well-formed and aligned with product strategy.
- : Responsible for understanding the requirements and scope of enabler work. Works with Architects on sequencing of the technical enablers based on functional need, user value and impact.
- Associate BSA is responsible for reviewing the proposed iteration goals and the higher-priority stories in the team backlog.
- : Responsible for reviewing and accepting stories based on the Team iteration demo. Participates in the collection and assessment of metrics, including evaluation of business value achieved versus planned, and actively participates in the inspect and adapt workshop.
- Stakeholder Management
- Ability to work with solutions, technologies, and development teams
- Supports Associate BSA / Sr. BSA in team backlog management/grooming/defining acceptance criteria
- Gathers product requirements from product management, or business users to ensure that the team is doing “the right work”
Ø Conducts the team demo for program stakeholders
- Works with shared services teams such as UI/UX designers to deliver user-friendly product solutions
