LOCATION: Pittsford, NY or Framingham-Atlanta, GA
Key Responsibilities
- Research, analyze, write, organize, edit, and proofread technical data for various documents, including application guides, installation instructions, troubleshooting manuals, online help systems, and release notes.
- Actively participate in multiple Agile teams, collaborating with software development, quality assurance, and product management teams.
- Complete documentation and localization deliverables on schedule while managing workload across multiple projects.
- Prepare infographics, illustrations, and screenshots to effectively communicate product features and workflows.
The hourly range for this position is $ $30.48-$38.46. Please note that this compensation information serves as a general guideline. You Must Have
- 5+ years of experience in technical documentation.

- Bachelor’s Degree in technical writing, communications, engineering, journalism, English, technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to perform complex tasks with minimal supervision.
- A demonstrated commitment to enhancing documentation processes.
- Establish expertise in one or more technical areas, applying advanced knowledge to meet departmental standards and style guidelines.
- OnGuard VAR training certification is a plus.
- Exceptional writing, layout, editing, and organizational skills.
- Quick learner of new technologies and software, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
- Familiarity with writing for localization and desktop publishing of localized materials.
- Experience with online help systems and delivery tools.
- Proficient in Adobe FrameMaker, HTML, Microsoft Office, and Adobe applications.
- Understanding of source control applications, including Perforce.
- Knowledge of Agile development tracking software, such as Rally.
- Familiarity with security management systems (e.g., OnGuard, NetBox) and experience in creating hardware documentation.
