Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Design databases and schemas tailored to corporate needs and ensure they operate efficiently and securely
  • Manage all database development phases and seek effective solutions for improving speed and performance
  • Implement the overall design, monitoring and optimizing of company databases
  • Plan the logical storage structure of the database and backup processes for servers and associated data
  • Monitor and maintain system health and security and the performance of the database during data access operations
  • Provide technical support and problem resolution

Qualifications:

  • Minimum five years of recent industry experience in database design and development with advanced proficiency in SQL along with performance tuning
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred
  • Strong technical foundation in database configuration, installation and maintenance, as well as solid communication skills
  • Prior experience in database, production and on-call environments while performing work with minimal to moderate supervision; able to apply and interpret business rules and concepts in daily work 
  • Demonstrated experience setting up and deploying CI/CD pipelines, code versioning using Azure DevOp is preferred
  • Experience in Azure Data Engineering, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and Azure SQL would be added advantage
