Key job responsibilities
The Planning & Analytics will support the rapid growth of WFS CS by developing business metrics, mining data to uncover consumer insights and business opportunity, and partnering with internal stakeholders to drive the business. In this role, the candidate will be focused on highly analytical projects driving results within the WFS CS organization.
Specific responsibilities include identifying the necessary metrics and creating reports to increase understanding of the business, proactively identifying pain points or opportunities through systemic measurement. As part of responsibilities, the candidate will be presenting qualitative and quantitative capacity planning analysis to key stakeholders by blending advanced reporting and project management skills.
• Retrieving and analyzing data using SQL, Excel, Access, Python and other data management systems.
• Monitoring existent metrics, analyzing data and partnering with internal teams to identify process and system improvement opportunities.
• Designing and implementing automated reporting solutions (like linking data tables to Tableau / Quicksight) to enable stakeholders to manage the business and make effective decisions.
• Supporting cross-functional teams on the day-to-day execution of the existent program implementation.
• Driving small to medium operational enhancement projects.
The ideal candidate has an accomplished professional background with demonstrated proficiency in Work Force Management and advanced SQL + Excel. They are comfortable creating strategic recommendations in a thoughtful yet concise manner, and obtaining organizational "buy-in" at senior levels.
They are well-organized, can manage multiple analyses/projects simultaneously, and are intellectually curious.

Our team hires over 1M hourly associates annually and is growing every year; WFS is performing an historic and unprecedented task to bring new people to work for Amazon Operations.
WFS CS (Candidate Services) is a branch of WFS, responsible to enable the hiring process by ensuring candidate has all possible support for their queries. We are part of Global Planning & Strategy (GPS) team within WFS CS responsible for forecasting, capacity planning (long term & short term) and producing planning analytics.
We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:
Hyderabad, TS, IND
- Bachelor's degree in management, business administration, economics, engineering, marketing
- Knowledge of data analytics with tools such as Tableau, SQL, Quick-sight
- 5+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience, or Bachelor's degree
- Understanding of Work Force Management and working as a management reporting / analytics or related positions.
- Experience with statistical analysis and modeling.
- Should be able to analyze data lakes/tables, write SQL queries to build data pipeline and link it to reporting products.
- Excellent communication skills to share findings in an understandable and actionable manner
- Ability to work successfully in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or other business/analytical disciplines, with 5+ years of related work experience
- Combination of technical skills and business savvy to interface with all levels and disciplines across the organization
- Proven track record of dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering results in a dynamic environment
- Experience using AWS technologies such as Redshift, S3, etc.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- Natural curiosity and desire to learn
