---- What the Candidate Will Do ----

• Design of KPI tracking systems for complex company-wide metrics across various Uber products and teams globally
• Performing analytical deep dives to drive product/strategy road-map
• Apply expertise in statistical analysis, data mining and visualization to own and deliver end to end analytical solution development
• Translate analytical solution into actionable insights and recommendations for the technical and non-technical audience in a clear, concise and persuasive way
• Maintain and continue to raise the bar for quality/efficiency of analytical solution delivery across the team
• Focus on long term improvements by building, maintaining, and documenting best practices within the team and seek continuous improvement opportunities
• Lead vendor data analyst in project execution
• Do all that it takes to drive and deliver multiple analytical and data engineering projects to partner teams across Uber

---- Basic Qualifications ----

• BA/BS/MS in Physics, Economics, Applied Math, Statistics, Engineering, OR, Computer Science, or any other quantitative field
• Proficient in writing and understanding complex SQL queries
• Experience in Python Automations and scaling scripts
• Strong multi-tasking & project management skills, and a keen sense of prioritization
• Ability to thrive and deliver in an ambiguous environment
• Self-motivated and driven to deliver agreed results on-time
• Good story-telling & articulation skills – ability to convert analytical output into clear, concise, and persuasive insights & recommendations for technical & non-technical audience
• Strong influence and relationship management skills; comfortable interacting across all levels of stakeholders
• A minimum 2+ years’ experience in an analytics delivery role
• Understanding of Uber Operations business context and data, including a proven track record of collaborating with Mobility/Delivery/Core Operations teams to translate business requirements into analytics solutions

---- Preferred Qualifications ----

• Programming background and expertise in solving a business problem using at least one of the following languages: Python, R
• Experience with Big Data platforms like Spark, Hadoop, and their ecosystems (Hive, Pig)
• Experience working with large data sets and Hive database
• Experience of successfully managing small to medium-scale projects
