Who You Are & What You’ll Do
Audits finished good production on the packaging floor.
Maintains equipment and chemical inventory with routine calibrations and standardizations.
Issues holds and dispositions material that is found to be out of specification.
Performs data entry for all test results every shift.
Upholds an emphasis on safety, especially when handling potentially dangerous chemicals
Follow, maintain, and improve upon SOPs used in the lab
Work independently on all laboratory tests and work in a team when dealing with pack floor and process related production issues FTIR, Near IR, UV Vis, and/or GC experience
Experience with Continuous Improvement methodologies (e.g. Six Sigma, TPM, WCM, Lean Manufacturing), preferred
Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices that include but not limited to; No Smoking at the facility, No Jewelry while working, Electronic Device Usage, PPE, and Proper Hygiene
All other duties as assigned
What You’ll Need To Succeed
4 year degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or related field
2 semesters of college level General Chemistry with corresponding lab work and 2 semesters of college level Organic Chemistry with corresponding lab work
Background knowledge of Quality Management Systems (e.g. ISO, FSSC), preferred
SAP knowledge, preferred
Strong attention to detail
Must be able to work rotating shifts and be available to work weekends and holidays in environment with regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and airborne particles.
