Key Responsibilities
Strategic:
You will work with executive leadership, product management and business stakeholders to define the key outcomes of the strategies your portfolio, including how to measure the achievement of the outcomes.
You will work with product management, business stakeholders and engineering leadership to identify what technical capabilities can be built and/or leveraged (build vs. buy analysis) to realize these outcomes, including identifying dependencies, assumptions and risks that could impact realizing these outcomes.
You will quantify the enterprise value across a portfolio of initiatives, defining the customer, partner, and store outcomes.
You will create sustainable, repeatable templates and approaches for delivery across the portfolio.
Program Planning / Execution:
- You will work with product management and engineering management to decompose capabilities into delivery workstreams.
- You will bring vision by collaborating with dynamic stakeholders to define the program scope, deliverables, and critical path dependencies.
- You will support ownership of your portfolio roadmap, bringing clarity to the team by helping develop schedules, planning delivery/coordination across multiple initiatives, owning portfolio budget, and resource planning.
- You will bring alignment and transparency across to all stakeholders by implementing a governance and reporting structure.
- You are a multi-tasker and can drive more than one project. You will look across your portfolio and identify interdependencies and help sequence work.
You bring people together and can collaborate across cross functional Technology and Business stakeholders. You will help drive alignment at the leadership (Director/VP level).
You make things happen by removing roadblocks and addressing future impediments now.
You bring energy to the program by inspiring optimism, creativity, shared commitment, and growth through times good and bad.
Financial Acumen:
- You will be accountable for the budget of your portfolio – managing programs that are $15M+.
- You will leverage your financial expertise to support defining program costs and securing program funding.
- You sweat the details, but you focus the team on what is most important with management of schedule, budget, issues, and risks.
- You have experience managing multiple SOWs, tracking invoices, and forecasts for resource planning.
- You provide accurate and timely financial reporting to leadership (VPs+) on a regular basis for the state of your program

Skills (minimum skills required):
- Minimum of five years’ experience as a program manager in IT or a software development setting; must have at least ten years overall experience working in IT or a software development setting.
- Experience using Agile methods and working on complex, integrated platforms required.
- Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or Management preferred.
PMP, PgMP, and Scrum Master Certifications are a plus. - Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities
