As a Guidewire practitioner at Deloitte Consulting, you will be responsible for independently lead the team and mentor junior team members along with liaising with onsite/offshore teams to understand the functional requirements. You will also be involved in end-to-end testing from planning to execution. Also, you would be responsible for status reporting and collection of metrics for analysis.
You will work with business, functional, and technical teams on the project located across shores. You will be involved in end-to-end delivery of the project from testing strategy, estimations, planning, execution and reporting.
The work you will do includes:
• Develop and unit test Guidewire solutions. Apply industry standard object-oriented programming best practices and design patterns
• Research, evaluate and identify alternative solutions and recommendations for the most efficient and cost-effective application programming solutions
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide on-going support for the solution
• Provide guidance to more junior team members and conduct code reviews as needed
• Part of the team that will Design and implement / operate solutions that span selection, planning, operational improvement, implementation, and the operation of core technologies that include analytics and information management, cloud migration, and underwriting services
• Experienced in developing software solutions using industry standard delivery methodologies like Agile, Waterfall across different architectural patterns.
• Writing well-formatted, efficient, reusable, and well-documented code maintaining industry standards, ensuring code quality and code coverage adherence, as well as debugging and resolving any issues/defects
• Participating in delivery process like Agile development and actively contributing to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Resolve issues or incidents reported by end users and escalate any quality issues or risks with team leads/scrum masters/project leaders.
• Expertise in end-to-end construction cycle starting from Design (low level and high level), coding, unit testing, deployment and defect fixing along with coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS
Skills / Project Experience:
Must Have:
• 2-3 years of hands-on experience in Guidewire Configuration / Integration
• Should have Platform Upgrade Experience
• Hands-on experience with GOSU, Web Services and XML
• Should be able to understand GW Integration / Configuration concepts
• Should be able to design and develop Guidewire Integration Components/ Configure PC or BC or CC
• Should be able to write GOSU code
• Ability to perform estimation of work products
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Flexibility to adapt and apply innovation to varied business domain and apply technical solutioning and learnings to use cases across business domains and industries
• Knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Office tools
Good to Have:
• Experienced in CodeNarc or similar tools.
• Experience with latest Guidewire cloud versions.
• Certifications in Guidewire – Specialist/ ACE/ Cloud certification
