Job Description

  • Perform exploratory data analysis for data modeling and data pre-processing to arrive at patterns and trends.
  • Partner with P&C teams to understand business requirements and translate requirements for building data models and visualization.
  • Own design, development, and support to data models and visualization dashboard pulling data from data warehouse (Snowflake / Oracle data warehouse) or other sources.
  • Share options for high quality visuals for the requirements of new / enhancement of operational reports / dashboards.
  • Produce monthly & quarterly metrics reports and curate meaningful business insights from that data for our Executive Leadership Team
  • Monitor data and complete data analysis with the goal of early detection of new trends and developing new insights
  • Use available tools and noticeable trends to build models for predictive analytics
  • As a back up to existing team, build PowerBI dashboards to address ad hoc requests from all functions within the P&C team (i.e. Business Partners, DEI, Learning, Total Rewards)

Skills And Attributes For Success

  • 5 years + of experience with data modelling, implementing PBI for visualization / reporting needs.
  • Expertise in analyzing and profiling data for data modelling and insight generation.
  • Strong expertise with writing SQL and good understanding of data warehouse concepts is a must.
  • Demonstrated ability in exploring technology across technology domains.
  • Experience handling employee data in a large multinational (5000+ employees) organization
  • Ability to engage with partners, understand the people issues they are focussed on and support with metrics/ analysis for making decisions
  • Culturally informed; Ability to communicate insights to global teams
  • Experience building & automating reports and data pipelines and highlighting business results and trends in a way that is easy to understand
  • Love learning to use new data tools, analyzing the data, testing and laying out your results in just the right way
  • A collaborator and communicator who is energized by working with multidisciplinary teams
  • Able to analyze data from all sources, provide linkages between them, and highlight insights and conclusions
  • Curious to learn and understand sophisticated business problems
  • A master in using excel and other more enhanced data analytics tools
  • Exemplar precision and attention to detail

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, Human Resources or other related fields of study
  • Previous experience in HR Reporting and /or Business Reporting/Analytics
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, practical knowledge of data visualization & reporting systems
  • Excellent data analysis and reporting skills
  • Familiarity with Power BI
  • Good communicator and collaborator with the ability to translate data into impactful insight

  • Critical thinking – discover trends and reach the accurate conclusions & recommendations based on findings
  • Proactive – shares ideas on new ways of working, new tools, etc.
  • Workday experience & Human Resource knowledge would be an asset
  • Comfortable working in a multi-functional team leading through ambiguity
  • Quick learner – ability to learn and apply new tools (i.e. Power Automate, Automation Anywhere
