Strategic :
- Providing leadership and functional excellence in Global Health & Wellbeing
- Provide advice and guidance to Business Leadership on specific public health, occupational health, and health care related issues.
- Enhanced speed of response in dealing with potential global public health issues like Covid, SARS, Avian flu, and other communicable diseases.
- Budgetary controls – advising the country of the resources needed in Global Health & Wellbeing.
- Identifying and selecting such resources in conjunction with local HR
- Design Preventive and Promotive Health initiatives
Operational
- Clinical Care for employees in Head Office
- Lead the Health matters for Senior Executives including hospitalisation, clinical care etc.
- Provide Oversight to Medical teams at designated sites to :
The person would be expected to have the following competencies
Problem Solving
Requires to be proficient at a high level for complex problem solving. Examples include:
- Activation of pandemic preparedness and crisis management plans.
- Providing expertise and specialist support for management of complex clinical cases amongst all employees.
- Technical expertise and advice on risk assessment and control to strengthen health protection at the workplace. This is particularly relevant in enzyme surveillance which has a direct impact on Unilever’s liability and corporate reputation.
Change Management
- Putting in place innovative practices to safeguard health of employees (across health promotion and health protection).
Qualifications And Experiences
Medical Doctor degree and expertise in Occupational Health.
Preferably a master’s degree in Occupational Health and/or Health Management.
