Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain geospatial applications using Core Java to ensure high performance and reliability.
• Oversee the administration of Sybase databases to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Provide production support for geospatial applications addressing any issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Implement and manage Unix-based systems to support geospatial application infrastructure.
• Utilize SQL for database queries and data manipulation to support application functionality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• Conduct regular system audits and performance tuning to optimize application performance.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in geospatial application development.
• Develop and maintain documentation for all geospatial applications and related processes.
• Provide training and support to end-users to ensure effective use of geospatial applications.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in geospatial development to ensure the companys applications remain cutting-edge.
• Contribute to the companys overall mission by developing applications that have a positive impact on society.

Qualifications

• Must have extensive experience in Sybase DB Administration and Sybase.
• Must have strong proficiency in Unix and Core Java.
• Must have experience in providing production support for geospatial applications.
• Must have strong SQL skills for database queries and data manipulation.
• Nice to have experience in other geospatial technologies and tools.
• Nice to have experience in hybrid work environments and day shift operations.

Certifications Required

Certified Sybase Professional Oracle Certified Professional Java SE Programmer
