Responsibilities include:
Scheduling candidate interviews, including occasional coordination of travel arrangements
Posting and closing positions on the company website and across other targeted media
Creating employment records for new hires in our HRIS system
Maintaining neat, accurate candidate and employee files
Creating and updating documentation for staffing tasks
Supporting university outreach, college recruiting, and internship programs
Supporting compliance and policy administration
Providing updates to the company intranet site
Participating in process improvements and special projects as assigned
Shadowing various aspects of HR
Minimum Qualifications:
Ongoing enrollment in a human resources, business, or related program
Junior or senior standing, with a minimum of one full-time semester of undergraduate or graduate coursework remaining after the internship
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Positive attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, and experience providing proactive, high-quality service to internal and external clients
Strong team mentality with a willingness to assist where needed to contribute to the group’s success
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and follow-through
Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship from Barr, now or in the future
A hybrid work arrangement may be considered for this position. A hybrid work arrangement refers to splitting time worked between a Barr office and a home office. This position is based out of Barr's Minneapolis, Minnesota, office.
