Job Description

Your key responsibilities 

Much of your time will be spent supporting client engagement teams and working with a wide variety of clients to deliver professional services in the life sciences domain. 

  

Skills and attributes for success 

  • Deep knowledge in targeted disease areas including oncology, immunology, neurology and cell and gene therapies 
  • Strong commercial strategy skills with exposure to commercial analytics and market access 
  • Prior experience working in a strategy or boutique consulting company and managing a team of at least 3 reports 
  • Experience in running primary research interviews and quantitative surveys in the life science 
  • Experience with market access and knowledge of US market access dynamics including IRA, Medicare, Medicaid would be appreciated 
  • Effectively support client engagement teams 
  • Leading key workstreams as part of large-scale client engagements and consistently delivering high quality deliverables 
  • Helping Manager and Senior Managers manage risk and helping ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes 
  • Staying abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client's business 
  • Helping foster an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment by playing an active role in counselling and mentoring staff consultants within the organization 
  • Starting to develop long-term client relationships and networks. 
  • Developing relationships with team members across all EY practices to serve client needs 
  • Remaining current on new developments in the life sciences advisory services capabilities and industry knowledge 

  

To qualify for the role you must have 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business, Biology, Pharmacology 
  • 3+ years biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry experience and experience providing advisory services in these industries, focused in at least one of the following areas: 
  • Commercial analytics 
  • Brand strategy 
  • Pricing and market access 
  • Commercial operations model transformation 
  • Digital campaign management strategy    
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical datasets (e.g. pricing databases, prescription and claims databases, etc.) 
  • Experience with commercial operations and analytics 
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint 
  • A willingness to travel to meet client needs  
  • Advisory/consulting experience within life sciences is preferred
