Responsibilities:
The engineer’s role would be to support testing efforts for XR sw stack and adjacent technologies like game/3d app dev kits (unity 3d, unreal engine), connectivity (usb, wifi 6, Wifi 6E), multimedia(video, camera, graphics, audio, display). Primary responsibilities will be to write and execute testcases and device automation.
· Evaluate technologies, systems, and devices through testing, logging and analysis.
· Candidate must be able to create test environments using software and hardware tools.
· Develop test procedures, execute tests, and isolate problems.
· Develop automation systems for executing tests and parsing results.
· Develop app/test content for exercising new features.
· Actively study user experience to improve customer experience on Qualcomm MM solution across ARM based chipset product
The Engineer must have a good understanding of Augmented/Virtual Reality technologies and multimedia technologies of Graphics, Video and Camera.
Required Qualifications:
· Experience working with Windows, Linux and Android.
· Expertise on Windows and Linux OS concepts and tools – bat script, linux commands.
· Expert in C/C++/Python programming
· Outstanding problem-solving skills
· Excellent communication and team working skills.
· Physical presence in Qualcomm Bangalore office is expected
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
Preferred additional qualifications:
· Expertise in Augmented/Virtual Reality technologies – 6DOF tracking, OpenXR, OpenVR, WebXR
· Experience in testing applications/software on Windows, Linux and Android.
· Experience with development of 3D experiences – games/apps using SDKs like Unity and Unreal.
· Expertise in Video technologies - Video Decode & Encode techniques
· Data analysis, automation and scripting – Python programming
· Experience with image processing and computer graphics pipelines and architecture
· Expertise in AI/Machine Learning technologies
· Expertise in Wireless transmission systems for video and gaming applications and networking technologies – 802.11ad/ay, 802.11ac/ax
