Job responsibilities
- Develops a product strategy and product vision that delivers value to customers
- Manages discovery efforts and market research to uncover customer solutions and integrate them into the product roadmap
- Owns, maintains, and develops a product backlog that enables development to support the overall strategic roadmap and value proposition
- Builds the framework and tracks the product's key success metrics such as cost, feature and functionality, risk posture, and reliability
- Will lead both deep delivery and also level up to ascertain, formulate, and communicate a clear strategic plan and approach
- Create and rollout a clear strategic plan and roadmap that will drive clear buy-in from all impacted stakeholders
- Independently and proactively assess through data to ensure requirements are clear and forward-thinking as we modernize the platform
- Navigate seamlessly through a complex web of products, teams, infrastructure that has legacy burdens and requires untying a large knot of previous technologies
- Engage leadership appropriately for support, updates, and partnering through headwinds
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area
- Advanced knowledge of the product development life cycle, design, and data analytics
- Proven ability to lead product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management
- Experience processing large amounts of complex technical subject matter and translating them into business problems or impacts to solve
- Direct experience in formulating and communicating a clear product strategy in both written and verbal form
- Experience working with various stakeholders to gain necessary input to derive a proper product plan and delivery execution
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Demonstrated prior experience working in a highly matrixed, complex organization
- Prior experience in bank retail/branch arenas, tools, or related areas
- Experience in product strategy and communication
- Technical Modernization experience including full rewrites, blank slate approach, and cloud experience
