Job Description
The Enterprise Automation team is responsible for building out a machine learning-powered, componentized intelligent automation products for use across American Express. Our goal is to democratize access to intelligent automation, allowing Business Units across the company to use the capabilities to solve for their automation opportunities.
The Document Intelligence product team partners closely with Technologies scrum teams to deliver the highest priority intelligent automation capabilities for the enterprise, driving an enterprise automation agenda where we build once for many. It is critical for our Product Manager to be a strong collaborator, flexible with changing priorities and possess a strong background in intelligent automation capabilities and a desire to improve the way we work at American Express. Our team has the unique opportunity to build and democratize enterprise grade capabilities that will be used by multiple business teams across the company, massively improving our business operations.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage the Document Intelligence Product and other intelligent automation tools, providing strong automation capabilities to drive a superior colleague and customer experience that can be extended and reused across the Blue Box.
- Drive innovation and manage product development teams within a fast paced, agile environment, cultivating an environment of continuous learning and improvement through coaching, feedback, and critical metrics
- Work closely with enterprise automation teams to gain constant feedback to ensure intelligent automation solutions continue to deliver value and support business goals.
- Enable integrated teams to deliver technology solutions in support of key product roadmaps initiatives through constant collaboration with leaders, product managers, partners, architects and engineers.
- Collaborate within and across business units to prioritize, plan, and implement the development cadence for product releases.
- Work with Technologies to define and ensure expected system SLAs are met and manage all issues and problems related to the Document Intelligence infrastructure, capabilities and dependent systems.
- Establish clear and measurable objectives and key results, providing monthly systems performance metrics to the Enterprise Automation Strategy PMO and Steering Committee.
- Promote the creation of high quality, clearly documented, and compliant deliverables across engineering teams.
- Define non-functional requirements (availability, interoperability, portability, manageability, scalability, maintainability, security, monitoring, SLAs, critical metrics, regulatory and legal compliance) based on business vision, standard processes, and enterprise architecture direction.
- Leverage management information details to report key automation & product metrics and drive continuous performance improvement.
- Be an effective advocate for automation and work with product teams across American Express to fundamentally change the way we work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep familiarity with application of GenAI and Traditional Vision models, including Optical Character Recognition (OCR), Document Classification, Machine Learning, and other cognitive technologies to develop new Document Intelligence capabilities.
- Experience with building APIs and UI/UX, to create an Enterprise platform with great User Experience and ease of integration as core attributes of the product.
- Experience working with intelligent automation capabilities such as Business Process Automation (BPM) and workflow tools, Data visualization and reporting tools, to be able to support appropriate automation development for identified use cases.
- Strong Agile practitioner with the ability to manage the product backlog in-line with the product strategy/roadmap, as well as enterprise priorities.
- Deep awareness of Amex’s risk management, data protection and model risk governance policies, to build a secure and strong product.
- Strong Technical Writing abilities to develop appropriate documentation and communications platform for business and Technology teams to get educated about the product.
- This is a continuously evolving space, and this role is expected to keep abreast of emerging technologies and trends for potential incorporation into the enterprise.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field
- 7+ years of proven experience in digital product management, preferably as a technical product manager
Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
