Our CGI Edmonton office is looking for a dynamic, client-facing Project Manager to lead all elements of projects, from initiation through to post-implementation.

Your future duties and responsibilities

  • Lead large-scale projects with significant budget and team size
  • Designing, resourcing, and supporting the implementation of procurement initiatives
  • Analyze and recommend new and effective approaches, methodologies or technologies, for successful project implementation
  • Collaborate, build consensus, and drive multiple projects to completion through effective stakeholder engagement
  • Coach teams through problem-determination and issue resolution
  • Coach delivery consultants in delivering results based on established timelines
  • Develop and grow relationships with senior client executives
  • Communicate project methodologies and standards
  • Provide delivery status to client executives, CGI executives, and client account managers, including monitoring, tracking, and reporting on projects
  • Build and maintain coordinated resource plans, project plans, work breakdown structures, cost estimates, budgets, and timelines
  • Proactively anticipate risks and issues and develop mitigation strategies
  • Coach development and implementation activities, ensuring that all aspects of testing are covered to ensure on-time and on-budget project delivery

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

  • 8+ years of successful project delivery experience with financial accountability in the health sector
  • In-depth understanding of the health sector, preferably Alberta’s health sector
  • Project delivery expertise using Agile and waterfall SDLC models
  • Proven experience working with all levels of stakeholders, especially senior leaders within the public sector
  • Outstanding communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Confident problem-solving and presentation skills
  • Experience with estimating projects
  • Experience working with Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow or equivalent tools
  • Proven ability to coach, develop, and lead local and virtual resources

Education / Certification

  • Business, Science, or Technology University degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Project Management Certification (PMP or equivalent) is required
  • MBA is desirable
