Who We’re Looking For

The Toyota Financial Services Data and Analytics Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Global Analytics Solutions Engineer. This senior analyst-level team member will be focused on the Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC)/Essbase/EPM platforms.

The primary responsibility of this role is to be the subject matter expert within the BI Development Team responsible for collaborating with and acting as a liaison to multiple and diverse business groups and technologies. The person in this key role will participate in multiple technologies and/or business releases and work closely with the business units and IT partners to create, identify, and evaluate deliverables such as user stories, business process models, user manuals, test plans, and test results.

Reporting to the Manager, Global Analytics Solutions, the person in this role will support the department's objective to design, development, and innovation of Financial Reporting and Analytics solutions. Leveraging our organization’s financial data, we aim to enhance business decisions, support, and business operations. This role partners closely with external suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders from our American and Oceanic Region, Asia Pacific Region, and Japan head office, across multiple Toyota company entities and departments.

The successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to communicate with all levels across the organization. Strong presentation skills are needed, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

What You’ll Be Doing

DnA Global Subject Matter Expertise

• Create, evaluate, and present technical business cases, "as-is" and "to-be" business processes, "current" and "future" technology integration design recommendations to colleagues, management, business customers, and vendors.
• Improve performance and value of existing applications, reports, and tools.
• Build a solid understanding of TFS data and technologies. Requires hands-on experience in managing metadata, creation of accounts, entities, and dimensions, designing new reporting, and using SmartView for ad-hoc analysis.
• Provides ad hoc technology business support for international stakeholders.
• Works with TFS business partners to identify and document the financial data requirements and reporting metrics.
• Works with the internal Support team to transition enhancements into the production environment and ensure adherence to change management policies and procedures.

Global Relationship Building

• Partner with our Regional/Global stakeholders to prepare Monthly/Quarterly/Annual system enhancements and fixes.
• Lead the fulfillment of internal and external audit requests for SOX Compliance and quarterly and annual financial audits. Develops new and maintains existing SOX controls for global consolidations and reporting systems.
• Facilitate business process design/redesign sessions and create documentation, as needed for a new methodology.
• Evaluate, recommend, and implement process improvements for the utilization of Microsoft Excel spreadsheets in Finance to enhance internal controls and improve efficiencies.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher), or professional work experience.
• Significant hands-on technical/analytical work experience relevant to this position, such as Essbase and OAC (19c, 21c).
• Knowledge of/experience in HFM, Oracle EPM, FDMEE, EPBCS, and batch scripting.
• Advanced SQL skills.
• Experience with OBIEE and/or data visualization.
• Project management skills.
• Experience with reporting and analytics tools (such as HFR, SmartView, and Data Visualizer).
• Agile Methodology experience.

Added bonus if you have

• MBA or Master of Science degree in a discipline relevant to this position.
• Ability to speak Japanese and/or Spanish.
• Familiarity with currency conversion within both Essbase and OAC.
• Working knowledge of deployment, and configuration of connector server clients to enable SSO and MFA to multiple AD domains.
