Marketing Manager for Ecolab USA Inc. in Naperville, Illinois to lead the Data Center marketing team and business to demonstrate and communicate the proven financial value of products/programs to customers. Own and manage optimization of Ecolab’s Data Centers customer and product portfolios. Enhance Ecolab value offering through an ongoing customer communication program, including e-communications, Ecolab’s web presence, trade show presentations, and other, innovative marketing programs. Foster a dynamic, high-performing team environment that provides high levels of service and value creation to internal and external customers. Establish mid and long-term strategic plans and supporting programs and initiatives linked to the broader corporation and segment strategies, resulting in accelerated growth and market share capture in Data Centers. Provide leadership in the areas of new service offerings above and beyond existing programs and services for existing or future markets of the business unit. Manage employees, including setting objectives and development plans, salary planning, training, annual performance appraisals, hiring, promotion and performance coaching to ensure the attainment of operating objectives. Partner with regional marketing leaders to set and achieve global business goals. Review and present competitive analyses, quantitative, and qualitative data and develop plans to counter competing programs. Ensure the sales force is provided with leadership and effective marketing support, including sales tools, training, program tracking and problem-solving capabilities. Provide updates to senior leadership (including Ecolab C-suite) on key strategic initiatives and new business opportunities, informing and influencing decision-making and resource allocation. Develop and deliver executive summaries, presentations and support materials to market and sell Data Center solutions. Provide leadership and development to teams tasked with innovating, developing and activating new product, service, information, and digital offerings. Conduct Voice of Business and Voice of Customer studies to understand market needs in the Data Centers segment and train team on appropriate techniques and best practices.

Requires: Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Marketing, Business Administration or a related field plus three (3) years of experience in product lifecycle management, project management, P&L management and developing business to business marketing strategies. Or, alternatively, Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Marketing, Business Administration or a related field plus five (5) years of experience in product lifecycle management, project management, P&L management and developing business to business marketing strategies. Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) conducting market research and analysis to perform market segmentation using advanced analytical techniques, including Igor-Ansoff market grid and cluster analysis. DE initiating and conducting Voice of Customers and Voice of Business campaigns by developing and using methods, including interviews, focus groups, concept boarding, and qualitative/quantitative surveys to explore innovation opportunities and pricing models, size the market and validate innovation concepts. DE developing, testing, and executing business models using tools, including business model canvas to drive global market penetration, portfolio expansion and innovation deployment. DE managing customer/product portfolios, and leading development and validation of customer value propositions using methodologies, including customer journey mapping, persona analysis, and competitive landscape mapping. DE leading cross functional and cross divisional teams in large, matrixed organization to execute marketing programs, initiatives, and strategies. Requires 25% domestic travel.
