We are looking for a Finance Business Partner to join our Supply Chain team based in Rhodes. This role will act as a business partner to the Transportation and Inter Market Supply (IMS) teams and provide support and expertise in the area of transportation / sea freight budgeting, accounting, analysis and controls.

You will undertake complex and critical research, interpret the results of analysis and provide alternatives / recommendations for further consideration. The scope includes all transportation in Australia and Sea Freight / IMS cost in ANZ.

A day in the life…

Reporting to the Supply Chain Controller, key responsibilities include:

  • Act as a Business partner to the Transportation-HUB and IMS (Inter market supply) teams.
  • Involved in the day-to-day decision making, KPI monitoring and Dealing with Processes and controls issues in the transportation and sea freight area.
  • Prepare budgets for Supply Chain activities. Manage reporting of actuals and forecasts across supply chain activities and fixed overheads. Perform monthly variance analysis of YTD vs Plan. Contribute to Benchmarking exercises, where required.
  • Will have significant involvement/influence over financial scenario analysis and ensuring appropriate controls around purchase order management, Parked and blocked invoices etc
  • Follow up and monitoring of progress to close gaps, ensuring Nestle financial policies, Accounting Standards and Costing Standards are followed.
  • Challenge the transportation and IMS teams to identify areas of savings (e.g. Vehicle / Container capacity utilisation). Perform validation of savings initiatives and perform post implementation reviews.
  • Develop reports, dashboards and support analysis in relation to performance tracking of Transportation and sea freight costs / savings initiatives.

What Will Make You Successful

  • Joining a collaborative team, you will be a strong team player with a history of delivering results in a high-pressure environment. You have the demonstrated ability to adapt to fast-paced changes. You will have a natural passion for data and an eye for detail.
  • You will ideally be Degree qualified in finance and have at least 5+ years’ experience in Accounting, Commercial Finance or Costing.
  • You will have strong technical, analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Have advanced Excel skills. Experience working with SAP Finance module are preferred.
  • You will possess outstanding communication skills and have the flexibility to adapt your style to suit your audience.
