The Main Duties For This Role Include

As a member of the engineering team and reporting to the 3W Project Manager, your main responsibility will be to study, design and develop various electrical and mechatronic systems for recreational vehicles. You will also be required to:

  • Develop the control and diagnostic functions for electronic management modules.
  • Develop specifications and requirements to support calls for tenders to suppliers of electrical and electronic equipment.
  • Develop and execute the necessary test plans to approve technical solutions, while adhering to the established norms and standards.
  • Assist technicians/directors in meeting development objectives.
  • Work with suppliers to develop electrical and electronic components as well as set out the deadlines and standards to be met.
  • Work with the design, production, purchasing, quality assurance and manufacturing engineering teams.
  • Participate in production on the assembly line, Address network issues and follow up with vendors.

You Are Born For This Job If

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, automated production engineering or a specialization in mechatronics engineering;
  • You have 1 to 3 years of relevant experience;
  • You are fluent in English and French both written and spoken;
  • You have an ability to integrate electrical, electronic, software and mechanical principles;
  • You have an ability to find creative solutions to problems you encounter;
  • You have manual dexterity and fine motor skills to perform mechanical repairs and physical tests;
  • You have an ability to adapt to an environment where the technical solutions are unknown, and where the path forward is not clearly marked.
  • You have the ability to implement predictive calculation tools.
  • You have proven project management skills.
  • You are excellent collaboration skills and are an exceptional team player.
  • You have the flexibility to travel on occasional business trips to our various manufacturing sites.
  • You are a fan of BRP’s recreational products
