At ANZ our purpose is to shape a world where people and communities thrive, and to achieve this we need a talented DevOps Engineer to join our core team within Wholesale Digital in our Institutional Division.

As an Engineer, you will be working with a highly motivated team who collaborates with other ANZ engineering teams to help our partners deliver high quality Kubernetes powered applications. This role is primarily to support a new project within ANZ slated for production in 2023 in the Client money management system space. Your experience will help to shape the foundations in which future Kubernetes applications are deployed, administered, and maintained on-premises and in the cloud.

What Will Your Day Look Like

• Manage and monitor all infrastructure and network installations, including configurations, testing, and maintenance
• Proactive management of the platform for any issues and escalate to the relevant teams
• Identify potential issues and integrate possible solutions.
• Craft custom scripts and use automation, reducing requirement of human interaction
• Enable faster and smarter business processes and implement monitoring and logging solutions
• Engage with other cross domain teams and assist them with any infrastructure related queries

But back to some of the skills –

• VMware vSphere experience
• Experience in on-prem Infrastructure and Public cloud (preferable GCP)
• Knowledge of Ansible, Terraform or similar automation tools
• Experience in administering core infrastructure systems such as Wintel, Linux OS, Active Directory, V-Sphere
• Hands-on Knowledge and understanding of Networking Technologies – Firewall, Load balancers, Proxy
• Knowledge of containers (e.g. Kubernetes, Docker, etc.) is preferable
• Knowledge of GIT and pipeline (e.g. bitbucket, GitHub, Bamboo etc.)
