Job Description

  • Triage digital support requests of limited complexity with guidance from senior team members;
  • Answer questions, troubleshoot and test to resolve issues and provide feedback;
  • Maintain software documentation, including product webpages, knowledgebases, and frequently asked questions (FAQ s) in an effort to minimize volume of support tickets;
  • Track and categorize issues for monitoring trends;
  • Support team as digital technologies evolve and seek continuous learning to understand changes/new systems and provide best in class support;
  • Help with improving adoption through training, documentation, and communication of outages and enhancement plans, along with usage monitoring as requested;
  • Consult with more senior team members to escalate production emergency resolution and maximize productivity of Global Breeding users and maintain critical operation uptime.

Required qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree with eight years experience; or
  • Bachelor’s with one year experience; or
  • Master’s degree;
  • Degree in computer science, engineering, science, agriculture or other related field;
  • Operates autonomously detecting and anticipating problems;
  • Provides routine technical support with limited responsibility and accountability;
  • Deals effectively with problems using general guidelines;
  • Identifies weaknesses in processes and supporting systems and takes corrective action;
  • Makes decisions independently within agreed upon areas;
  • Assumes leadership in non-complex team projects and activities;
  • Demonstrates proactive approach toward technical and process improvements;
  • Basic knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) and/or NoSQL databases.
